Drop The Lime @Home Club, Singapore 21st Nov

In between juggling his celebrated residency at London’s Fabric, running his music label Trouble & Bass in New York, and flying across the globe to play gig after gig, this November Drop The Lime finds himself at HOME on the shores of Singapore.

Hailed as one of the biggest talents from NYC, and with good reason, Drop The Lime has garnered fans world-wide – DJ Mehdi, Diplo, A-Trak, and Annie Mac to name but a few. Producing remixes for superstars such as Moby, Robyn, and Armand van Helden as well as having his own growing string of original releases, his success has been nothing short of exponential.

With an instinct for heavy bass, left, right and center and an eclectic taste running from Sonic Youth to 50’s doo wops thrown in for good measure be rest assured you’ll get FIDGET!

ABOUT DROP THE LIME
_______________________
As one of the biggest new talents from New York City and hailed by MSTRKRFT, Hot Chip, Switch, Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank and dozens more, Drop The Lime has recently made monster remixes for Robyn and Moby while making original tracks with Diplo, Herve and Sinden. Remixes for Armand van Helden and Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip are in the pipeline.

Add a Fabric Room 1 residency, an incredible set at Coachella Festival, rave reviews from his prime time sets at Lovebox and V Festivals in the UK, and other European dates over the summer, and it’s easy to see why Drop The Lime is the Producer and DJ in demand right now.

Drop the Lime’s new single, Hear Me, drops worldwide in October. An extensive promo campaign is in the works and BBC Radio 1 are already massive fans, having broadcast two Drop The Lime DJ mixes in the last two months on Rob da Bank and Annie Mac’s shows (his mini mix for Annie Mac in particular became an online sensation with bloggers falling head over heels for his special 90s house selection).

Here’s the latest mix from Luca Venezia aka DROP THE LIME.

AC SLATER IS BIG BROOKLYN BASS!

Named by XLR8R and Beatport as one of the most important artist to watch out for in 2009, awesome heavyweight bass champion, AC Slater is coming HOME to drop a massive load of floor pumping bass on you!

Already turning heads with rave-tinged remixes for the likes of Moby, Freestylers, and Drop the Lime, his tracks have been finding their way onto radio playlists on stations like UK’s Radio 1 and Kiss 100, and into DJ sets of people like Sinden, Moby, Crookers, Drop the Lime, and Steve Aoki.

By producing a heavily layered, frequently high BPM morass of clashing genres, sneaking in scribbling acid hiss, a sanguine dubstep bass crunch, liberal doses of breaks and dissected vocal samples of the classic variety, he calls it, very appropriately, ‘Big Brooklyn Bass’. Hallmarks of a classic AC Slater set is filled with buckets of stabby raveness and booming bass lines.
